About Us

The Suffolk Real Nappy Network was founded in 2002 by a group of parents concerned about the lack of information available about cloth nappies in Suffolk. Regular Nappacinnos were held at venues such as church halls. These were coffee mornings where you could get advice and information on using cloth nappies.

As the network developed and grew it became apparent that we needed more than just a hired venue, but instead a base where we could run an office, a drop-in-centre for parents, and a shop. We opened our shop and drop-in-centre in April 2006. Due to the popularity of our drop-in-centre we have now stopped the nappacinnos as members are welcome to come into the store at any time during our opening hours for tea and coffee and advice.

We are a voluntary, social enterprise that promotes the use of washable nappies across Suffolk whose aims are to:

·          Raise awareness about how easy cloth nappies are to use, enabling parents to make an informed choice

·          Encourage local hospitals, healthcare professionals, schools and colleges and children’s centres to give information and advice about real nappies

·          Encourage childcare providers to adopt real nappy policies

·          Ultimately, to reduce landfill

More than just a nappy store!
